Childhood and Career
Madonna was born in Bay City, Michigan, USA. Her mother, Madonna Louise (maiden name Fortin), was born of French Canadian, his father, Silvio «Tony» Chikkone, an Italian American, worked as an engineer-designer of the factory Chrysler / General Motors. Madonna was the third child of six children in the family.
Madonna grew up in Catholic family in a suburb of Detroit. Madonna's mother died of breast cancer in 30 years in 1963. Her father married the family maid Joan Gustafson, and they had two children, Jennifer and Mario. Madonna persuaded his father to allow her to take ballet lessons. As a girl, Madonna attended St. Frederick School, St. Andrew School and West Middle School. She was admitted to the School Rochester Adams High School, becoming a full member of the student and support groups. Madonna received a dance education at the University of Michigan after graduation.
After her ballet teacher persuaded her to pursue a career dancer, Madonna left the University in late 1977 and moved to New York. She has almost no money and some time she lived in poverty, working at Dunkin 'Donuts and dance troupes.
During the speeches as a dancer for the French disco artist Patrick Hernandez (Patrick Hernandez) in its world tour in 1979, Madonna was in love with the musician Dan Gilroy, with whom she later created the first rock-band Breakfast Club. In it, she sang and played drums and guitar, before you set up a group of Emmy in 1980 with drummer and former boyfriend Stephen Brey. Brey wrote and produced dance songs that have attracted the attention of the nightclubs in New York. DJ and producer Mark Kamins was impressed by her demo recordings, so he introduced Madonna to the founder of Sire Records Seymur Steyn.
